Forgiving, Not Just Forgiven
Preacher: The Rev. Andrew Van Kirk
Scripture: Matthew 18:21-35; Ecclesiasticus 27:30-28:7
Reflection Question
When you pray "as we forgive those who trespass against us," whose face comes to mind?
Where are you carrying anger that has cost you more peace than it has given you?
What does it mean to you that God's mercy comes before we have done anything to earn it?
How might holding back forgiveness make it harder for you to trust that you yourself are forgiven?
What is one step you could take this week toward releasing a debt someone owes you, whether a conversation, a prayer, or a healthy boundary?
