Habitat Build Date & Time Changes

Hi Friends,

Lent has always been my favorite time of the liturgical calendar. It is a sacred time dedicated to self-reflection, gratitude, and renewal to reset my spiritual compass, if you will. During this season, I strive to deepen my daily practices through increased prayer and discipline. For instance, I have committed to attending Tuesday Morning Prayer at our serene Garden Chapel at 7:45 am. For those who know me, you understand that rising early is not my forte, making this a true exercise in discipline!

In addition, I dedicate time each evening for prayer, to maintain a gratitude journal, and to participate in our Wednesday evening Dinner and Discipleship gatherings. These practices illuminate the countless blessings God has bestowed upon me and deepen my appreciation for the profound sacrifice He made on my behalf. This season also provides a precious opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible volunteers who tirelessly support our Hands&Feet ministry. Regardless of the task at hand, they approach every job with pride and enthusiasm. We are truly fortunate to have a congregation filled with such dedicated doers!

BIG UPDATE on the Habitat Jimmy Carter build:

I will continue to pray for all of us who will be helping with the Habitat “Jimmy Carter” build now starting on April 12th. The start and end time has also changed, it will be from 8 am to 2 pm. If you are working at the store, it will be from 9 am to 2 pm. Our Texas weather has made it difficult for the build crews, and their schedule has fallen behind. Let me know if you have any questions: email me.

More info to come next week!

I wish all of you a wonderful Lenten season and hope you are able to take time out of your busy schedules to deepen your faith with one or more of our programs here at St Andrew’s!

Peace,
Lisa
