Young People are not Simply the Future of the Church
St. Andrew’s Family,
This Sunday will be a joyful day in the life of St. Andrew’s as we celebrate Youth Sunday and honor our graduates during the 9 am service.
One of the greatest gifts of the church is that worship is never meant to be the work of only a few people. Worship becomes most beautiful when the whole community joins together, each person offering their own voice, gifts, and presence. This Sunday, our youth will help lead us in worship as greeters, ushers, readers, and musicians. Their leadership reminds us that the church is strongest when every generation participates in the life we share together.
Our young people are not simply the future of the church; they are already an important part of its present. Through their energy, creativity, compassion, and faith, they help shape who we are as a community. As they step into leadership roles during worship, we celebrate the many ways God is already working through them.
We will also take time to recognize and pray for our graduates as they prepare for new chapters in life. Graduations mark moments of transition, excitement, uncertainty, and possibility. As a church family, we give thanks for all they have accomplished and ask God’s guidance and blessing upon the road ahead.
In a world that often feels divided and disconnected, Sundays like this remind us of the strength found in community, encouragement, and shared purpose. I hope you will join us as we worship together, celebrate our graduates, and give thanks to God for the gifts and leadership of our youth.
Peace and Grace,
Father Logan
