God’s Not Done Looking
Preacher: The Rev. Logan Hurst
Scripture: Luke 15:1-10
There is a deep truth tucked inside the ordinary images Jesus uses in Luke 15. A sheep lost in the hills. A coin buried in the dust. Neither story is grand. But both are filled with a quiet, relentless love.
God doesn’t wait for us to get un-lost. God searches. Sweeps. Lifts us into arms of grace.
In the eyes of the world, the lost might not seem worth the effort. But in the kingdom of God, every soul is cause for celebration. When you wander, God comes looking. When you hide, God keeps sweeping.
And when you’re found, heaven throws a party.
This is the heart of the gospel—not a love earned, but a love that finds. Not a life perfected, but a life restored. Let yourself be found again. Let joy rise in you, and let it lead you to seek others, too.
