Planted in Promise

Revelation 22:1–5 invites us to imagine the beauty and promise of the river of life flowing from the throne of God, a symbol of abundance, renewal, and divine generosity. It reminds us that Scripture begins and ends in a garden, showing God’s intent to restore creation.

This image connects us to stewardship, as we are “planted in promise,” trusting that God’s life-giving river still flows even in dry seasons. Like the tree of life that bears fruit each month, we are called to bear the fruits of the Spirit, generosity, patience, hospitality, and more, so that God’s healing can reach the world through us.

Stewardship, then, is not about maintaining budgets but about participating in God’s ongoing flow of life, grace, and renewal.
