The Love of a King

Jesus reveals His kingship not through displays of power, but from the cross, where mercy and forgiveness become His royal authority. In this crucified King we see a God who enters our suffering, overturns our expectations, and reigns through love that never lets us go.

Reflection Questions

  1. How does seeing Jesus on the cross, rather than on a throne, reshape your understanding of what it means for Christ to be King?

  2. Which of the two responses to Jesus from the criminals on the cross do you most identify with, and why?

  3. Where in your own life do you find it hardest to trust a King who rules through mercy rather than force or quick fixes?

  4. How might recognizing Christ’s kingship in places of weakness or suffering change the way you face your own challenges?

  5. What does it look like, in practical terms, to live as someone “remembered” by this King, someone claimed, forgiven, and held by His love?
