Who is this guy?

  • Preacher: Tim Jenkins

  • Scripture: Luke 9:28-36; Exodus 34:29-35; 2 Peter 1:13-21

When God speaks from the cloud, it’s not to dazzle. It’s to direct.
“Listen to him.”

In a world where we’re told to follow our own voice, blaze our own trail, or curate a life that looks impressive, this command cuts through like lightning. Not admire him. Not agree with him. Listen to him.

To listen is to let someone else guide the rhythm of your steps. It’s slower than reacting. Deeper than opinion. Listening to Jesus is not passive—it’s surrender.

But this surrender doesn’t erase who you are. It reshapes you.
The more you listen,
the more you follow,
the more the light that once felt distant
begins to shine in you.

And one day, someone else might look at your life—quiet, steady, full of grace—and whisper, Who is this?
And maybe they’ll begin listening too.
