The Word of the LLM and the Word of God
Preacher: The Rev. Andrew Van Kirk
Scripture: Isaiah 46:3-9; Psalm 135:13-21
Series: fAIth
We live in an age where the tools we create can speak. They answer our questions. They offer suggestions. They sound like they care.
But no matter how natural the conversation feels, the truth remains: they are tools—nothing more.
Scripture warns against worshiping the work of human hands. Not because stone or metal or silicon is evil, but because we so easily hand over our trust, our time, and our hearts to what promises power without relationship.
AI may speak in ways that sound wise, compassionate, or even holy. But it cannot love you. It cannot forgive you. It cannot walk with you through joy or sorrow.
Only the living God can do that.
So bless the Lord. Seek him in real prayer. Speak with real people. Hold fast to the one who holds you—not in simulation, but in love.
