Emmanuel: God-With-Us and
Us-With-God
God is not Alenuel (God-Against-Us), Tachteynuel (God-Under-Us), or "Menuel" (God-Away-From-Us), but Emmanuel (God-With-Us), with us in Christ through every aspect of existence from birth to death. Because He is fully "God-With-Us," He secures our eternal hope and identity as "Us-With-God."

Weal and Woe
The ability of God to draw weal from woe is among the most important parts of who God is, and so is his ability to use the imperfect for his perfect will.
Good Work Broken
Knowing that our labor is within the scope of God's redemption makes it more valuable, not less so.
Life of St. Andrew: Involve
The thing we get from the church is the chance to be involved, to give of our life instead of loving it to death, and in so doing we receive far more than we put in.
A Sabbath for the Not Okay
Jesus did not come to Earth so we could get church right on Sunday. It's so that we could be set free from the bondage of sin, suffering, and death.
It’s Decision Time
My prayer for us all is that we continue to choose Jesus; that we continue to live into our baptismal commitment of bringing others into the body of Christ.
Life of St. Andrew: Instruct
Instruction matters, because without knowing Jesus, fear will triumph, and we will be led astray by someone, by some idea, by something that will claim to calm it when only Jesus can.
