Come Celebrate New Life in Christ

Dear Friends,

Last weekend Liz and I were able to get back to Columbus, GA where I officiated the wedding of one of my former youth. Columbus holds a special place in our hearts, because it is where Liz and I were married, had great jobs, and got to know a lot of people. A lot of these people we consider our extended family. These relationships we continue to nurture from afar. It was great to catch up with everyone, and Columbus, in many ways, is exactly the same as it was ten years ago when we left. However, it is also great to be home, and we look forward to worshiping here at St. Andrew’s this Sunday. We missed you all!

This is a special Sunday because we have a baptism at the 9 am service. I love baptisms. Not just because I am a priest and it’s part of the gig. I love baptisms because our church family, the body of Christ, grows. Will Thacker will stand before all of us professing his faith in Jesus Christ, and we will accept him into the household of God. To me, there is nothing cooler than that! He will literally have so many brothers and sisters that he won’t be able to count them. So cool!

So, come and join us on Sunday as we join Will in renewing our own baptismal vows and celebrate our new brother in Christ.

See you all Sunday.

Peace and Grace,
Father Logan
