Easter Hope for Anxious Hearts
St. Andrew’s Family,
“Do not let your hearts be troubled.” (John 14:1) I have found myself meditating on these words a lot lately. Maybe you have as well. I have to keep reminding myself that these words do not ignore fear, grief, or uncertainty. They acknowledge that life can be difficult and that we often carry burdens we cannot fully explain. Yet even in the midst of anxious moments, we are invited to trust.
As we continue through the Easter season, we are reminded that resurrection hope is not only about the promise of eternal life. It is also about the promise that new life can break into our lives here and now. Hope can rise in weary hearts. Peace can grow in troubled minds. Love can still overcome fear.
We live in a culture that prizes certainty, control, and quick answers. We want clear plans and predictable outcomes. However, faith is rarely about having everything figured out. More often, faith is about continuing to move forward with hope, trusting that God is present even when the path ahead feels unclear.
There is something deeply human about wanting reassurance. We long for visible signs that God is near and at work in our lives. And yet, again and again, we discover God’s presence not always in dramatic moments, but in everyday acts of compassion, kindness, mercy, and love. We see glimpses of grace in a caring conversation, a shared meal, a prayer offered at the right moment, or the quiet strength of a faithful community.
The Easter message continues to call us forward with courage and trust. Even when the world feels uncertain, we are not abandoned. God remains near, guiding us, strengthening us, and reminding us that we do not walk this journey alone.
May we carry that hope with us in the days ahead, and may our hearts find peace in the promise of God’s abiding presence. See you all Sunday!
Peace and Grace,
Father Logan
