Dear Friends,
Tomorrow night is our annual Belize Dinner and Auction. I hope to see you there.
Of course, this dinner is an important part of the way we support our partnership with Christ the King Parish in Dangriga, Belize. 100% of the proceeds — from dinner and from the auction — go towards work in the churches and schools.
But this dinner is also such a wonderful fellowship event. Breaking bread together is part of how Christian community is formed. We do it every week at worship with Holy Communion, but breaking bread — or in this case breaking spaghetti, salad, and rolls — together on a Friday night provides a different sort of chance to connect and grow.
What’s true down in Belize is true here in McKinney too.
