Wherever You Go This Summer, God Is Already There
Dear Friends,
As summer settles in, many of us find ourselves moving at a different pace. School schedules give way to vacations, family visits, road trips, camps, and long-awaited opportunities for rest. Some will travel across the country, while others will simply enjoy quieter days closer to home. Summer has a way of reminding us that life is a journey, and that our routines are often interrupted by new experiences and unexpected encounters.
One of the reassuring truths of our faith is that there is no place we can go where God is not already present. Whether we find ourselves in the mountains, at the beach, visiting family, exploring a new city, or sitting quietly on a back porch, God continues to meet us. The same Lord we worship together on Sunday morning walks beside us throughout the week. He is present in moments of wonder, in conversations with loved ones, in times of rest, and even in the challenges that sometimes accompany travel and change.
Summer also offers opportunities to notice God's work in fresh ways. A change of scenery can help us see familiar truths with new eyes. Time away from our usual routines can create space for prayer, reflection, gratitude, and renewal. Wherever this season takes you, my hope is that you will remain attentive to God's presence and open to the ways He may be speaking to you.
At the same time, please know that you will be missed while you are away. One of the great gifts of St. Andrew's is the community we share together. We are grateful when members of our parish have opportunities to rest and reconnect with family and friends, and we look forward to hearing your stories when you return. Until then, may God watch over your travels, bless your time away, and bring you safely home again.
For the rest of us, Sunday is coming and I look forward to worshipping with you all! See you soon.
Peace and Grace,
Father Logan
