Youth Mission Update (with Pictures!)

Dear Friends,

Greetings from Copperhill, Tennessee! One of my favorite parts about mission trip is the opportunity to watch our youth and adults grow in their faith right before my eyes. Some of this growth is caused by stepping out of their comfort zones, however, the majority of growth comes from being in an intentional Christian community for an entire week. The experience of long van rides, starting and finishing projects, and worshipping with 186 other Christians every night creates a ‘thin place’ in which the kingdom of God can shine through. That’s why I keep leading our young people and adult leaders on these trips!

These experiences of God can happen anywhere. They can happen when we gather for worship on Sunday mornings, getting involved in a hands and feet project, or gathering for a fellowship event. When we intentionally come together as the body of Christ we too can experience these ‘thin places’ in our daily lives. However, you are always invited to join us on one of these mission trips too!
