Thank You For Showing Up
Hello Friends,
As I sit and write this, we are awaiting the families that called St. Andrew’s directly for Angel gifts for their families. I am overwhelmed with the incredible generosity that this congregation has shown to our community this Christmas season (and throughout the year)!
You are incredible disciples of God, supporting our Hands and Feet ministry no matter what the task and ALWAYS going above and beyond!
With your incredible generosity, these are a few highlights we accomplished for our community this year (just a few)!
Thousands of sack lunches prepped.
Ten Saturday meals served and sponsored.
Countless feminine products repackaged, along with pet food, snacks, and laundry detergent.
A key partner with Habitat for Humanity on the Jimmy Carter House, made possible through your financial support and hard work (on some very hot days).
Two truckloads of clothing donated to Streetside Showers.
Over $11,000 raised for Gateway of Grace, urgently needed to support immigrants during an uncertain time in our community.
Ongoing support for Burks Elementary, including: teacher lunches, Thanksgiving dinners for 40 families, 82 Angel Tree families including a joyful Angel Tree party and dinner, and a shaved ice truck for field day.
A strong and faithful C.L.I.M.B. team continuing to provide after-school care twice a week, with healthy snacks and engaging programming.
These are all works we have been called to do as Jesus’ hands and feet. And, again, you go above and beyond to make it happen!
I can’t express how grateful I am for all of you! Whether you donated, helped with Baggie Brigade, helped build a house in 100-degree weather, or participated in any other way, you are all a gift!
I wish you and your families a wonderful Christmas season! Wishing you joy, good health, and happiness!
Peace,
Lisa
