We don’t want a lot for Christmas / There is just one thing we need

As I sit and write this, we are awaiting the families that called St. Andrew’s directly for Angel gifts for their families. I am overwhelmed with the incredible generosity that this congregation has shown to our community this Christmas season (and throughout the year)!

There are signs all around us that something is coming! Well, let’s be honest, if you have been in a department store at any point since the month of October, you know what I am talking about.

I am thrilled to share with you that this Sunday we will be welcoming the newest member of our clergy team, the Rev. Deacon Katie Gerber.

At the beginning of his letter to the Philippians, St. Paul wrote this: “I thank my God every time I remember you…”

This week, Katherine Keller and I had the pleasure of delivering 40 Thanksgiving boxes to Burks Elementary.

Amid all the wonderful St. Andrew’s events and news over the last several weeks, the story of our Planted in Promise campaign has gone a little under the radar. Remember that?

This Sunday were are having one service, underneath a great big tent, to celebrate St. Andrew’s 20th Anniversary.
